Coping with Jealousy
Jealousy is a glass half full half empty kind of deal.
You can look at someone else’s success and see what you don’t have. Or you can choose to be inspired. Use their success as motivation to work harder and be better. Everyone deserves their time in the spot light. You’ve had your time before and you’ll have it again. Meanwhile be supportive. In Dallas the cheerleaders seem to be having a way better time than the football players!
So count your blessings not your follies. Gratitude brings perspective and with time you will realize the silliness of your jealousy anyway. The victim mentality is an energetic sink hole. Don’t get sucked in because it can lead down a spiral to self-induced insanity. Remain strong, grounded and graceful. Another’s success is not a threat to yours. Where would Jenifer Hudson be is she took Fantasia’s victory on American Idol personally? Skip the bitter pill and enjoy your life. Celebrate the successes of those around. You’ll be better for it.
